Automatic recognition
Recognizes movies and shows from visible page data and matches them via The Movie Database (TMDB). Precise, without guessing.

The watchplay Scrobbler browser extension automatically recognizes what you stream on Netflix, Disney+, and Max, then adds it to your watchplay library. No manual logging required.

How it works
Sign in with your existing watchplay account. No second account, no extra setup.
Start a movie or episode on a supported streaming service. The Scrobbler recognizes the title automatically.
Your progress lands in your watchplay library automatically. Movies as watched, series episode by episode, seasons completed when everything is done.
Features
Recognizes movies and shows from visible page data and matches them via The Movie Database (TMDB). Precise, without guessing.
Each episode is tracked individually. Once every episode of a season is watched, the season is marked as completed automatically.
The Chrome sidebar shows the detected provider, title, matching status, and last sync time in real time.
Smart caching keeps tracking active even when the player hides its UI. An offline queue catches up missed syncs automatically.
Set what should be tracked per provider: movies, shows, and minimum watch time. Your settings sync with your watchplay account.
Automatically German or English based on your browser language, or switched manually.
Supported providers
Privacy
watchplay Scrobbler only reads visible page content: the page title, visible player information, and standard playback events. Incognito windows are disabled by default. Your playback status is sent only to the official watchplay API.
Quality
Every title is matched server-side against TMDB. The extension never creates empty or guessed library entries. If a title cannot be matched safely, nothing is saved. Instead, it is routed for manual review so your library stays clean.
